After breakfast this morning, visit the Hassan II Mosque – one of Casablanca's most impressive sites and the Islamic world's third-largest mosque. This magnificent building sits partly on land and partly on the sea, allowing visitors to look through a glass floor in one area, straight down to the water. This is one of the only religious sites open to non-Muslims. Travel through the high way crossing the capital of Morocco, Rabat to the imperial city of Meknes, where you will enjoy a traditional Moroccan lunch in a local restaurant, then we’ll set off for village of Moulay Idriss, the holiest Islamic town. Head out on a leader-led walking tour. Your next stop is Volubilis, one of the most well-preserved Roman cities in North Africa. Led by a local guide, you'll wander amongst its historic ruins and colorful mosaics, and the local guide will help you envision what life was like in ancient times. From this vantage point, you'll have panoramic views of the whitewashed, holy city of Moulay Idriss in the distance. Arrive in Fes, your today's final destination.

The sun can be incredibly fierce in summer at Volubilis, so bring a hat and plenty of water.

Start at 9am for a packed guided tour in Fez which includes the Mellah, the Medina and souks, the famous tanneries, the exquisite mosques and medersas, the famous Fes pottery kilns, a tour around the ramparts with its many babs (gates) and a visit to the renowned Museum of Moroccan Art.

Starting with a drive via the Mechouer to the impressive Dar el Makhzen to stop for some 15 minutes at the Royal Palace with its magnificent seven bronze gates before continuing to the Borj Sud for a panoramic view of the Medina. Off now down to start the walking tour of the labyrinth of the ancient Fes Medina (a UNESCO World Heritage Site); including the colourful es-Sebbaghine with its Street of the Dyers; the brass and copperware workers at es-Seffarine; on through the winding alleyways to the impressive el-Quarawiyyin Mosque and University, a stroll into the past to the wonderful mosque and adjacent aromatic Souq of el-Atterine of spices and vegetables; the beautiful el-Atterine Medersa; the Kissaria and Draz Quarters and the renowned tanneries on the bank of the Oued Fes.

On now to the delightful el-Nejjarine Square with its plaza, fountain, caravanserai and woodwork craftsmen. Nearby there is a stop for a lunch to savor the flavors of Morocco  at the delightful local Restaurant. Afterwards to the Dar Batha and a visit of the Museum of Moroccan Art before rejoining your vehicle at the Bab Boujloud. That’s the walking done for the day, for now you will drive to the 16th century Potters' Quarter (Fakhkharin), not far from the present-day Bab Ftouh in an area called Guerouaoua, to watch the artists working at their kilns and, perhaps, to buy some of their unique clayware. Back into the vehicle for a tour around the magnificent ramparts with their beautiful babs and up to the sixteenth century Saadien watchtower at the North Borj for yet another, but so different, panoramic view of this city of 1001 Nights. So much history, so much variety, so many memories to be captured before returning finally to your hotel at the end of an exceptional day.

After breakfast, hit the road again and drive through ever-changing scenery, from barren mountain sides to fertile valleys, on the journey to Merzouga. Stop for coffee in Ifrane in the Atlas Mountains along the way. Take in the views over Ziz Valley and stop for lunch in Midelt – a town in the high plains between the Middle Atlas and High Atlas Mountain ranges. When you arrive, leave your gear at your overnight camp, then climb aboard your designated camel for a ride into the edge of the Sahara – what better way to enjoy the sunset? Tonight, sit under the expansive night sky and try some fantastic local cuisine around an open fire, enjoying live music and dancing.

Today’s camel trek is a loop from your camp on the edge of the desert and back. If you don’t wish to ride a camel, you can walk alongside the camels or relax at the camp.

Tonight’s accommodation will be Luxury Private Tents in a nomadic style, well equipped and funished.

If you prefer not to walk or participate in the camel ride, a 4WD drive can be arranged instead. Please highlight it to us earlier.

Rise and shine nice and early this morning and climb one of the sand dunes to watch the sunrise over the Sahara.This experience should not be missed! After breakfast, leave the luxury camp to meet and spend time with nomads, then visit the nearby Khamliya, a traditional Saharan village, and experience traditional drumming music and dancing. From here drive towards Rissani Town - once Sijilmassa - is the foundation of the Alaouite dynasty, the current ruling family. With most of the woman veiled, and men hooded, this is a very traditional Moroccan town, where you will get the chance to taste the Berber Pizza during Lunch; afterwards, head west toward the Valley of Todra, which lies right between the Atlas Mountains and the Sahara Desert. Only 15 kilometers from Tinghir inside the Valley of Todra, you will find the Todra’s highest and narrowest gorges in the region. Next, you will travel through the Dadès valley, where in the spring, thousands of Persian roses bloom in hedgerows, filling the air with their heavenly perfume. You will also see the thousands of Kasbahs scattered along the Dadès River, majestic sandcastles with a visually appealing, timeless beauty. You will continue to explore the Dadès Valley, traveling through Boumalne to view the inimitable natural vistas and unusual rock formations.  The Drâa valleys and the majestic High Atlas Mountains constitute an ideal place to stop for the night. You will conclude your day with dinner and other accommodations in Dades Valley.

After breakfast, continue onward to Ouarzazate through Skoura & Kellat Magouna famous for its cosmetics products extracted from the roses in the Valley. in your 1st stop, enjoy a guided trip inside the worldwide Atlas studio cinema, and next explore the legendary Kasbah of Aït-Benhaddou, a renowned architectural marvel classified as UNESCO world heritage. After Lunch, your Morocco tour will lead you to the highest pass in the Kingdome of Morocco, the Taddart and Tizi'n Tishka pass, at an altitude of 11,000 feet. This pass divides the mountains into two distinct facets: the harsh, stark side acting as a shield that protects the hinterland from the harsh, dry expansion of the Sahara, and a lush side, soft and evergreen, which collects the moisture from the Gherbi winds of the Atlantic Ocean. You will arrive in Marrakech, a city of pleasure for both visitors and locals, where southern - tribesmen and Berber villagers bring their goods to market and find a variety of entertainment.

Conclude your day by a sumptuous optional dinner on a terrace over Jemaa El fna square. Marrakech’s most popular attraction. This bustling square is listed by UNESCO as a "Masterpiece of World Heritage". Snake charmers, dancers, acrobats and storytellers make it a lively hub of activity.

Today, you’ll explore the bustling Marrakech. After your full breakfast at your stylish accommodation in Marrakech, start your private tour at 09h00 AM in the southern pearl of Morocco with your private tour guide by driving to the Koutoubia Mosque, the largest mosque in Marrakech with a stunning 70m high minaret. Afterwards, visit the 19th century Bahia Palace, surrounded by beautifully-manicured Moorish gardens filled with fruit trees and sweet-smelling flowers. Is this trip right for you?

  • This trip includes time spent traveling in a private vehicle with your group. Extra space can be tight, and conditions may feel a little cramped. It's all part of the adventure and a great way to get to know your fellow travelers. There are a few long days of travel, as you'll be covering a lot of ground. You will, however, make stops at interesting locations to break up the longer drives. Please read the itinerary carefully for travel time estimates.

The Core Trip Cost & Availability

  • When you are ready to confirm your trip, a non-refundable deposit of USD 500 per person is required to secure your booking.
  • The 2026 Core Trip is priced at $2,450 USD per person based on double (occupancy) accommodations. For solo travelers, a single-room supplement is available for an additional $400 USD.
  • Morocco Private Trip’s signature small-group trips depart every Monday and Saturday for up to 14 guests and cover the highlights of Morocco over 8 days and 7 nights.
  • The remaining balance must be paid prior to the start date of the trip. We accept various payment methods, including cash, wire transfers, debit cards, and credit cards. Please note that any bank commissions or processing fees associated with debit or credit card payments are the responsibility of the traveler.

1. A single supplement is available for solo-travelers at an additional cost of $400 USD per private room.
2. A complimentary airport arrival-transfer is included; valid if you are arriving on Day 1 or if you have booked pre-tour accommodation through us. You must provide your flight details to your booking agent at least 15 days prior to the trip starting date.

3. Additional 15% high-season fees apply from December 24th to January 5th.
