It’s different from our other Agadir excursions in one important way: you’ll disembark in Agadir and rejoin your ship two days later in Casablanca, so it only works if your itinerary calls at both ports on consecutive days — check with us first if you’re not sure. In exchange, you get a full overnight in Marrakech, Morocco’s most famous imperial city, with a hotel stay, three included meals, and a proper look at both Marrakech and Casablanca along the way.

Day 1: Agadir to Marrakech
We leave Agadir Port early and climb to the hilltop Kasbah for a last panoramic view over the city, port and Souss Valley before setting off on the roughly 4-hour drive to Marrakech, skirting the edge of the High Atlas. On arrival we pass the city’s ramparts for a look at the Koutoubia Mosque, Marrakech’s tallest and most famous landmark, its 77-metre minaret dating to 1199. After checking into your hotel and a light lunch, we visit the Majorelle Gardens — a small, vivid blue-walled botanical garden of cacti and palms — followed by the 16th-century Saadian Tombs and the Bahia Palace, a 19th-century vizier’s residence known for its painted ceilings and zellige tilework. We finish at Djemaa el-Fnaa Square and the covered souks around it, before returning to your hotel to freshen up ahead of dinner (with wine) at a Moroccan restaurant.
Day 2: Marrakech to Casablanca
After breakfast and checkout, we head back into the medina to the Ben Youssef Medersa, a 14th-century Islamic college with an exceptional central courtyard, and the Almoravid Koubba — a modest-looking domed structure that happens to be the oldest building standing in Marrakech, and a direct ancestor of the architectural style used across the city. A stop at the Marrakech Museum of Contemporary Art and a light lunch near Djemaa el-Fnaa follow, before we set off on the roughly 3-hour drive north to Casablanca.
In Casablanca, we drive through Anfa, the hillside district once home to the 1943 Casablanca Conference between Roosevelt and Churchill, before a stop on the Corniche for refreshments. Time and schedule permitting, we visit the interior of the Hassan II Mosque — the second-largest mosque in the Islamic world, built partly over the Atlantic — before finishing at the Port of Casablanca, where your ship will be waiting.
