Guided Day Hikes in the High Atlas Mountains
Relatively easy one-day guided walks. A choice of classic routes, charming hidden valleys, and plenty of opportunity to meet the Berber people.

Difficulty: GRADE ONE: walking mostly on paths at lower levels, sometimes rocky, seldom flat, for about 3-6 hours per day. Good trainers or walking shoes would do, but bring boots if you have space and are used to wearing them. Suitable for anyone who leads a reasonably active life; hiking always involves some effort.
We offer fully guided day hikes with a wide variety of scenery in and around the foothills of the High Atlas, all within easy reach of Marrakech. They all begin no more than 90 minutes from your hotel or riad in Marrakech, so provide a good day’s walking with one of our English-speaking guides without a VERY early start. Also included is a lovely fresh picnic lunch or a warming tagine option in the winter months.
Please do not hesitate to contact us to book one of these hikes or to enquire further about the itineraries, locations, and terrain. A more detailed description of each one is included below in the “Itinerary” section.
