Morocco Culture & Heritage Tour – 15 Days

Day 1: Casablanca

Marhaba! Welcome to Morocco! A land of tolerance, openness, and hospitality. A country with a big history, rich culture, art, food, architecture, and a variety of landscapes from mountains, coastlines, to the fascinating desert. Today, your Private expert driver will be waiting for you at the entrance of the airport to transfer you to your high-end hotel.

Day 2: A Day to Remember in Casablanca

After a nice breakfast, you will explore the economic hub of Morocco, Casablanca, for a full-day tour where you will visit the famous Hassan II mosque, known as the second largest functioning mosque in Africa and the 7th largest in the world. It was designed under the guidance of King Hassan II and built by Moroccan artisans from all over the kingdom. The Mosque is open to Muslims at daily prayer times & open to non-Muslims & tourists for a visit, then you will continue to Habous. After enjoying your lunch at an esteemed restaurant, you will head to visit “Villa des Arts and art galleries,” a leading place to enjoy modern works of art. Then you will be transferred to the capital of the kingdom, Rabat.

Day 3: Rabat City Tour

After a nice breakfast, you will start your guided full-day city tour by visiting the city’s old medina and its most famous landmarks: the Chellah Necropolis, an ancient settlement at the mouth of the Bou Regreg River, and the Kasbah of the Udayas, built in the 12th century and home over the centuries to Arab tribes, Andalusian immigrants, and some of Morocco’s most powerful sultans.

Day 4: Rabat’s Best Venues to See

After a nice breakfast, you will start your guided half-day city tour by visiting Hassan Tower known for its largest minaret of an incomplete mosque, then you will visit the Mohammed V Mausoleum, a historical building located opposite the Hassan Tower. It contains the tombs of King Mohammed V and his two sons. After enjoying your lunch at an esteemed local restaurant, you will be transferred to the imperial city of Fes.

Day 5: Fes Medina Tour

After a nice breakfast at your luxurious hotel, you will go for a full day guided tour to witness & explore the city’s main cultural & religious side by visiting its mosques, historical monuments, old medina & souk. Fes is considered a UNESCO World Heritage site, home to traditional handicrafts and tanneries. It is known for its historical significance and monuments like The Bou Inania Madrasa, which was once a school; it is a religious building in the medina constructed in the 14th century. The Karaouine Mosque and university are known to be the world’s oldest university and the second-largest mosque in Morocco. Al Attarine mederssa is known for its beautiful courtyard in the center, surrounded by geometric patterned tiles that decorate the walls and floor, and the Nejjarine Mosque.

Day 6: Fes, Volubilis, and Meknes

After a nice breakfast, you will head to Moulay Driss Zerhoun, then you will stop to discover Volubilis & its fascinating Roman ruins adorned with beautiful mosaics and colorful tiles depicting Roman mythology. From there, you will move to see Meknes, your tour there may include Bab Mansour, then Place El-Hedime (Square of Ruins), which links the medina and the Kasbah, and the Dar Jamaï Museum, showing modern Moroccan arts, woodwork, ceramics, carpets, costumes, jewelry, and metalwork. Afterwards, you will return to your high-end hotel in Fes.

Day 7: On the Way to the Sahara Desert, Adventures are Endless

After a nice breakfast, you will leave Fes for a destination in the desert. On your way, you will stop at Ifrane, “Switzerland of Morocco”, a charming, unique town known for its calm atmosphere, fountains, and small gardens. Then you will continue to Midelt, a special destination that is worth exploring, where you will enjoy your lunch before moving to Errachidia & then Erfoud, a small town in southeastern Morocco known as the gateway to the Sahara. From there you will stop at Merzouga where you will meet your private driver who will transfer you by your private 4*4 car to your luxurious private camp in Erg Chebbi desert.

Day 8: It’s Desert Time, Nomads are Waiting!

Early in the morning, you will enjoy a sunrise camel ride before breakfast at your prestigious caidal camp. Afterwards, you will visit a nomad family and join a cooking class to see how they prepare traditional meals. We also invite you to take part in a not-for-profit initiative: for an optional 5 euros added to your trip’s price, the full amount collected is given directly to this nomad family, who are in great need of support. In the afternoon, you will go for a heartbreaking tour by your 4*4 car in the middle of the desert before returning back to your private camp, where you will overnight.

Day 9: Breathtaking Moments along the Road of 1000 Kasbahs

After a nice breakfast in your majestic tent in the desert, you will move by your 4*4 private car to Merzouga where you will change the car and start your way to Ouarzazate a quiet city situated in the south of the Moroccan High Atlas Mountains, there are a considerable number of points of interest & beautiful sceneries & small villages along the way that must see like Rissani, Tinghir, Todgha gorges, Dades gorges, Kalaa Mgouna & Skoura before heading to Ouarzazate.

Day 10: Ouarzazate Sightseeing

After a nice breakfast, you will enjoy your day by visiting the city of Ouarzazate, its souk you will then stop to try & taste an artisan cheese before continuing your visit of Its enormous Kasbah of Taourirt, a 19th century palace, you will see also the Atlas film studio, a must to visit place & a great opportunity to take some extraordinary back in time photographs. Then you will go to the fortified red earth city of Ait-ben-Haddou, a UNESCO world heritage site. It is the most famous ksar in the Ounila Valley, representing the culture and architecture of southern Morocco. From there, you will continue to Marrakech.

Day 11: Every Culture has its own Story, “Marrakech Medina”

 After a nice breakfast, you will start your exploration of the most visited city in Morocco, Marrakech, by your private side cars, considered as an imperial city and a UNESCO world heritage; it serves as a major economic center and tourist destination. It has the largest traditional market, the “souk” in Morocco. The city is home to several historical monuments, mosques & tombs that you may see during your day tour, like El Badi Palace, Bahia Palace, Dar El Bacha, the Ben Youssef Madrasa, and Dar Si Said Museum. Your tour will include Jemaa el-Fnaa square, considered as one of the best-known squares in Africa, and has been described as a “world-famous square”, then you will continue to Mellah, the old Jewish Quarter.

Day 12: Atlas Mountains Excursion

After breakfast in Marrakech, you will drive about an hour into the High Atlas foothills to the Ourika Valley, following the Ourika River through terraced fields, walnut groves, and small Berber villages along the way. Along the road, you will pass local markets and mudbrick houses built into the hillside, offering a glimpse into rural Berber life. You will continue to the village of Setti Fatma, the gateway to a series of seven cascading waterfalls tucked into the mountainside. From there, an easy scenic walk leads up through rocks and pine trees to the first falls, with the option to continue further for more adventurous walkers. Enjoy lunch at a riverside terrace overlooking the water and surrounding peaks before starting the drive back to the city. You will arrive back in Marrakech in the late afternoon, having spent the day surrounded by some of the region’s most refreshing mountain scenery.

Day 13: Let’s Call it a Magical Garden

After a nice breakfast, you will go on a horse-drawn carriage for a unique tour to Marrakech’s most visited and famous gardens, the Majorelle garden, which was the home of the landscape painter Jacques Majorelle. Afterwards, the famed designer Yves Saint Laurent bought and restored the property, which has been open to the public since 1947, & has a large collection of plants from five continents, including cacti, palms, and bamboo. Once you finish your visit, you will move to Le Paradis du safran, an organic saffron farm situated on the Ourika road, a few km away from Marrakech. During your visit to the farm, you will learn everything about saffron and about medicinal and aromatic plants before having your lunch there. Not far from the farm, you will move to see another fascinating garden, “Anima garden,” a magical place for limitless pleasure & inspiration for an unforgettable experience before returning to Marrakech.

Day 14: Day at Leisure

After a nice breakfast, you are free to spend your time as you wish, spend the day at your own leisure, you may go shopping, or just relax at your hotel.

Day 15: Departure from Marrakech

Today, after a nice breakfast at your luxurious hotel, you will say goodbye to Morocco, and you will be transferred to the airport for your departure flight.
